Simone Crudup is a precious ten-year-old child who fully embraces the quirkiness of being a kid. She’s not into dresses, but she’ll kill a tube of lip-gloss. She’s a picky eater who will randomly try something new and out of the ordinary. Her smile is shy but bright; she observes first, acts second. Around the house, you can find Simone catching up with her favorite baking or arts & craft videos on YouTube while nodding to her father’s Dub Step playlist on Spotify. Her love of comic books and superheroes like Wonder Woman and Batman developed from her frequent visits to Amalgam Comics & Coffeehouse in Philadelphia. There she would create Simone’s Sheroes, a monthly club dedicated to exploring thru games and activities the inspiration and influence heroes (super and otherwise) have on our lives. As a result, Simone created her comic book alter ego, The Flame, to help bolster her own resolve in the face of bullying and to help others do the same. Look for The Flame’s comic book debut coming soon.
Simone Sheroes works with any persons or organization that shares in our common goal. We specifically seek to build partnerships with organizations that teach children about being strong, confident and kind.
Our mission is simple…to fight crime. Ok seriously, it is to provide an avenue for young girls to express their unique identity and to stand in the face of adversity. Simone believes in a solid NO BULLYING world free from any judgment regardless of age, gender, religion or culture.
Locally grown today, our ultimate mission to span the U.S. with this universal message of Standing with the SHADOW of the cape proudly waving. (Yes, we like to paint the picture, do you get it?)
We are always looking for ways to get involved in the community. Have a young girl that would like to join or an idea for an event we should attend? Let us know! We would love to hear from you!
